Events

The Property Management Committee focuses on the stewardship and care of SCLT-owned and managed properties. Responsibilities include trail maintenance, habitat management, access improvements, and long-term stewardship planning. Meetings rotate among SCLT properties whenever possible, providing hands-on familiarity with the lands under SCLT’s care. Meetings are held in person and rotate among SCLT properties.

The Executive Committee is composed of board officers and provides leadership and oversight between full Board meetings. This committee supports the Executive Director, addresses time-sensitive matters, and helps guide organizational strategy in alignment with board-approved priorities and policies. Meetings are held virtually.

The Land Acquisition Committee evaluates potential land protection projects, including fee-simple acquisitions and conservation easements. The committee reviews project feasibility, conservation value, financial considerations, and alignment with SCLT’s mission, making recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Meetings are held in person in Milford and virtually.

The Fundraising & Events Committee supports SCLT’s development efforts through fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and special events. This includes planning and supporting fundraising initiatives, community events, sponsorship development, and anniversary celebrations that advance both revenue goals and public engagement. Meetings are held virtually.
