19th Annual Dogfish Dash

The Dogfish Dash is an annual 3.81-mile run and community celebration hosted by Dogfish Head to benefit the Sussex County Land Trust and our work to safeguard the lands and resources that make Sussex County special.

Each year, thousands of runners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters come together for a uniquely Dogfish day filled with creative costumes, live music, great food and beverages, and plenty of off-centered fun—all in support of open space.

In 2025, the Dogfish Dash raised an incredible $109,000 for land preservation in Sussex County, helping SCLT protect important natural lands while expanding opportunities for trails, recreation, public access, and stewardship.

The Dash returns on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with activities taking place throughout Dash Week leading up to race day.

Whether you run, volunteer, sponsor, or simply come out to cheer, there are plenty of ways to be part of the Dash and help protect Sussex County’s open spaces for generations to come.
